West Mugirango residents have urged President William Ruto to consider a different person for the High Commission post in Ghana after former MP Vincent Kemosi declined the job offer.

The residents have given an alternative candidate whom, according to them, will perform the High Commission role in Ghana with diligence.

The residents, through the Gusii Diaspora Affairs Caucus, have fronted US-based businessman Jason Mogire for the job, saying he is the ideal candidate.

They said Mogire is a highly respected and accomplished individual who has demonstrated unwavering commitment to public service and diplomacy, hence fit for the position.

“His extensive experience in diplomacy and international relations notwithstanding his huge science background makes him exceptionally qualified to represent our country in Ghana as a High Commissioner,” said Dennis Ogeto, who is the Deputy President for Gusii Diaspora Affairs.

Further, Ogeto said leadership qualities and a deep understanding of global affairs make Mogire an ideal candidate for the position.

“We are certain that the appointment of Mogire will be met with widespread support and enthusiasm from the people of Kenya,” Ogeto said.
