Kitutu Masaba MP Clive Gisairo today commissioned a modern, fully equipped, and furnished chief’s office in Tombe Location, Manga Ward.
The MP said that for some time now, they have been partnering with the National Government Administration to serve the people.
“We will continue to work together to deliver the promises we made to the people,” he said. “The promise of serving the people, bringing services closer to mwananchi.”
For three years, he said, they have traveled this journey and, as witnessed, they have delivered.
“This proves that public funds can be well utilized for the good of the common people,” he announced.
He, however, called for tolerance, especially among politicians. He noted that many politicians are currently holding political meetings to charge at each other.
“Let us not be those politicians who gather people to hurl insults at each other, to the disadvantage of the people,” he said.
He warned them that they have started political campaigns this early to deceive the public on how public funds are utilized.
For his part, he promised he would continue to walk with the people, and at the end of the journey, they would make it together.
“I appreciate the support you (chiefs) have always given us. Kitutu Masaba has been peaceful and safe,” he announced.
He further said that even if they have different opinions on some national government laws, that will not stop him from serving the people.
He told the public that they have all been elected to serve only one person: mwananchi.
“I urge that we continue to cultivate this mutual relationship that exists between us to make sure we deliver on our manifesto,” the MP said. “I will continue to deliver the remaining offices because my meetings are not political in nature but development-oriented.”
He said he holds consultative meetings that seek to deliver on his election promises made when he was seeking office.
He plunged the crowd into laughter when he said that he’s the veteran politician. He said when the right time comes, he will shake the corners of Kitutu Masaba, and no one will stand against him.
“For now, we want to inform the public that government services have been brought near,” the MP said.

On his part, the Assistant County Commissioner Joshua Kitakwa observed that previously, Chiefs used to operate from shanties or makeshift offices, but now they can operate from modern and well-furnished offices.
“You have so far done more than 50 percent of the offices in Kitutu Masaba, and we truly appreciate your support to the local administration,” Kitakwa told the MP.
When he started these projects in his early days in office, the ACC said, “we thought they were white elephants, but when the first office was completed, we proved that you are a serious, committed leader who seeks to serve the people.”
“This is not the chief’s office but the office of the people, where you can get services,” announced the ACC.
Senior Chief Abel Oroti of Tombe Location, whose office was being commissioned, noted that the new office marks a big milestone in his location.
He was excited that he was going to serve people from the new office.
He echoed ACC Kitakwa’s sentiments by encouraging people to come for services because it will not be an office without them.
“I am happy that Kitutu Masaba is setting standards not only in Nyamira County but the country at large,” he said.
The commissioning of the Tombe Chief’s Office in Manga Ward marks another significant step toward decentralizing government services and enhancing effective service delivery for the residents of Kitutu Masaba Constituency.
The new office, which was funded by NG-CDF, will host National Government Administration Officers (NGAO) and integrate key services provided by the Civil Registration Department and the NG-CDF.
“We expect faster processing of NG-CDF bursaries and civil registration documents (ID cards, birth, and death certificates) due to improved accessibility,” MP Gisairo said.
Additionally, he added, two more offices will soon be operational as part of their commitment to enhance administrative services.
The event was attended by NGAO administration from the Kitutu Masaba Constituency and the public.
