Senatorial aspirant Jeremiah Migosi has put the Nyamira Governor, Amos Nyaribo, on notice for poor leadership and service delivery in the county.

Speaking at a funeral in Township Ward on Friday, Migosi said the governor has failed the people of Nyamira due to bad leadership and misplaced priorities in his administration.

“We all know that the county has a big problem, and that is why I would like to come to the ground so we can talk and see how we can salvage it come 2027,” he said amid cheers from the crowd.

He claims that the governor has persistently turned a deaf ear to the cries of the common mwananchi who voted for him.

“When you go to Nyamira Referral Hospital, do you get drugs? Where do the billions that come from the national government go?” he asked.

He added that even the Women Enterprise Fund under the Women MP, which is meant to help women in the county, is not being utilized for that purpose.

He reiterated that due to the bad leadership displayed by the governor and the leaders of Nyamira, who are unable to keep the governor in check, the youths (Gen Zs) took to the streets last month to demonstrate.

“We want to get the governor out of office because he is doing nothing for the people of Nyamira,” he emphasized. “I ask you that when we demonstrate on August 8, you join us in removing him from office.”
